Looking back over my life, I fully agree with Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
God has prepared some work for us to do for Him on earth, even before we were born. It may not necessarily follow that every act of service or kindness I show was ordained by God from the Foundation of the earth. I believe that every major assignment in my life was ordained by God even before I was born. The life of Joseph, Moses, Samson, Samuel, John the Baptist and even Jesus clearly confirms this.
Jeremiah’s life also goes further to prove this. In Jeremiah 1:4&5 God made it clear that he chose Jeremiah even before he was formed in the womb. In Jeremiah.29:11 God mentioned an ‘ expected end’. This means that God sets the target and gives us all we need to achieve it. 2 Pet. 1:3. How well we do in life towards achieving good success now depends on what you do with all God has given you. Talk about the parable of the talents! Matthew 25:14-30. .
God surely laid out some key assignments all through life for you even before you were born. He also made available to you all the resources you will need to carry them out. How have you fared so far? Have you discovered what your major assignments are in this next phase of your life ? Are you tapping into huge provisions God has provided for you to fulfill them?
A good understanding of the above leads to fruitfulness in life and a great sense of accomplishment and fulfillment. May the Lord help you meditate on the above, reflect upon your life so far and apply your heart to wisdom? Amen!! Psalms 90:12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
