4G+ Life lessons
It is games time and all platoons are ready to win. Emerald, Sapphire and Ruby started their chants while their representatives listened to the rules of the egg race from the games coordinator. There was a race and an egg to be brought back to the finish point. However, the egg must not fall. On your mark, get set go… All participants ran so hard to get to the finish point but alas, just at the brink of finishing I saw the eggs falling in different directions. Wao it was quiet frustrating but here were lessons learnt about the journey of life:
#1: It is not how fast you run but how well. The teens were more interested in getting to the finished point first than the instructions and so they were disqualified. There are instructions in life that must be followed to finish well and strong in life. Many teenagers want to hammer at all cost and have not given thought to the rules that guides success in life. Of a truth many teens indeed have hammered at the disqualification of the fulfilment of purpose. Many have been disqualified but during this upgrade program I know such teenagers can experience an upgrade. They can get their lives back even if there are scars. God can rewrite your story, arise and upgrade your life and your thoughts. There is a race set before you teenagers and there is a way to run it. Join us in TOM to learn how to run the race of life without disqualification. The games coordinator said ” if your ball falls, stop and pick it up and continue the race” and I felt that was a good instruction but alas, one of my teenager got discouraged after his ball fell and was not willing to continue until he saw another member of the race pick up his egg and run. He was motivated . Guess what? he took the 2nd position.
# 2: It is not how you start in life that decides how you finish. You decide how you finish by the attitude you put up to the surprises of life. Failing is an event that comes with life races which teaches you a lot. However, the greater lesson of life is not to give into failing events but to rise up and win. You maybe way behind in life but you can get upgraded through this Camp to become the best in life. Don’t give up, rise up, pick your egg and run the race that is set before you. Ye are of God and because of who you belong to, you Win in life. Ruby,ruby,ruby. I could hear the ginger from Ruby platoon. Ruby is winning in the relay egg race. God obviously was on their side. It was so glaring they would win. Alas, just some few steps from the winning point everything that could go wrong went wrong. Ruby platoon took the last position. Wao, an example of the first becoming the last.
#3: Let’s be careful about life. At every point in your journey in life, always remember that you are who you are by the mercies of God. You might be winning today does not give you right to jeer at the ones not winning cos it is not of him that willeth nor of him that runneth but of God that shows mercies .
My prayer for every teenager that seems to be experiencing a twist of events in their lives is that they will experience the mercies of God through their encounters in 4G+ camp 2020. There shall be a turn around for you because you are upgraded. We just finished today’s event. Let me go home and rest. Please join me to persuade these teens to go home so we can close the venue. Tomorrow is the grand finale and it is going to be wonderful staying alone with God. I will bring you more gist then. Guess what? The teens are coming tomorrow fasting.😜
