ATTITUDE

Hello friend,

So today I had like to put you through the subject matter tagged “attitude”.
You sure must have heard someone say he/ she got attitude. Or you saying you don’t like his / her attitude towards you or someone else. Such attitudes are usually positive or negative.

So what’s attitude?!

Your attitude refers to a set of emotions, beliefs, and behaviors toward a particular object, person, thing, or event.
Attitudes are often the result of experience or upbringing, and they can have a powerful influence over your behavior.

Attitude is said to exists in every person’s mind. That is to say your mind is a vital tool in developing a positive or negative attitude.

The Bible admonish us to guard our mind with all diligence for out of it are the issues of life (Prov. 4:23).
If you desire to develop a positive attitude, then you must fill your mind with the right stuff especially the word of God which is able to build you up(Acts 20:32) and meditate wholly on them so that your good attitude may appear to all (1Tim. 4:15).
Remember you can not think of what’s not on your mind – so again I say fill your mind with the right stuff especially the word of God for as you think so you are!

It will interest you to know that your attitude helps to define your identity! If you have a kingdom/ positive attitude, you will portray a kingdom/positive identity. The Bible is the perfect mirror that will show you your true identity – keep looking into it (James 1:22-25/1 Peter 2:9/ Matt. 5:13-15) and you will discover who you are. Remember, how you see your self is how the world will perceive you!

Do you also know that your attitude guides your actions? Since attitude have a powerful influence over your behavior – if you don’t check your attitude to be sure they are positive, you might end up having a bad behavior.
Behavior over time forms your character and character is like a smoke or a sweet smelling fragrance.
Like a smoke,you can’t keep it hidden for too long- it must find it’s way out to the open. First, perhaps by the stench you perceive (which most times people can’t tolerate or endure) or it’s choking attribute that make people flee from its source and environment.
Like a sweet smelling fragrance that can be perceive from afar; it attracts and draws people close to its source making them feel comfortable with the unconscious desire for it to rob on them. Everyone loves a sweet smelling fragrance

So beware of your attitude as a teenager. By now you already have experiences and perhaps your upbringing has formed certain attitude in you, whether good or bad. The good news is that attitude can change.
And one key way to change your attitude is to keep renewing your mind with the word of God (Rom. 12:2).

A good or positive attitude can distinguish you in life and make you fulfill your glorious destiny sweat lessly!
